I am inspired by the magic of wet felting. I love incorporating fabric, yarns and fibres intt fibres. Taught to knit and sew as a child, I come from a family of tailors, quilters and textile workers, stretching back over the centuries to the cotton mills of Lancashire, England.
I get my felting ideas from the details in the world around me. I observe textures and colours from nature and transform fibres to textured objects. I like to look at imagery in different ways, and change the scale and the context. Current inspirations are Huddle nebullae images, cells, seed pods, bark and funghi.
I live in the Netherlands and I have just successfully completed an Intermediate Felting distance learning course with ArtyBird.
