Another former student, Clare is a maker of the highest quality and produces beautiful pieces, drawing inspiration from nature and the wildlife she sees. Maggy Lightfoot runs a company importing wool fibre from Norway. She has successfully complete her level 2, 3 certificate and diploma in feltmaking. She internally verifies courses in feltmaking for ArtyBird.
The International Feltmakers Association
The International Feltmakers Association is an organisation of like minded people sharing ideas. The local groups arrange workshops. There is a quarterly magazine "Felt Makers" and all sorts of felt opportunities.
Twist Fibre Craft
An excellent supplier of wool fibres for felting, including dyed ranges in Blue-Faced Leicester and Corriedale. Their pre-felt is good value for money and they are very helpful.
Helen is another former student and a City & Guilds Medal for Excellence winner. She produces a whole range of beautiful accessories as well as a very witty range of cards that your crafty friends will just love! She is very successful at craft fairs, and you can view and order her range online.
Alot of students go on to create and run their own business and Chryssie is no exception, as well as promoting her own work she also runs workshops.
Jane is one of our distance learning students,recently back from living in The Netherlands. She produces wonderful jewellery and beautiful naturally dyed felted artwork.
