Carnforth CentreYou will attend ArtyBirdCarnforth School for Art and Textiles courses in the newly built Technology Suite at Carnforth High School.Carnforth is a small market town, north of Lancaster, south of Kendal and the Cumbrian Lake District, East of Morecambe Bay and West of Ingleborough and the Yorkshire Dales. It is the gateway to some of the most beautiful scenery in the U.K.
The kitchen area with lots of high tables and sinks . Great for dyeing and wet work.
You will experience excellent facilities with large, high tables, a computer suite and views across the playing fields to the countryside beyond.
The I.T. Room with PhotoShop Elements and Internet access. Lots of high tables and its own sink. Great for designing and feltmaking.
The project funding received from the Market Towns Initiative supported by the NorthWest Regional Development Agency means that there is a range of new equipment for you to explore.
The Textiles Room is full of high tables, ideal for feltmaking. Low benches run around the edge for machines and equipment.
Carnforth High School is just off the M6 junction 35 and a 10 minute walk from Carnforth Railway Station. There is excellent parking and disabled access should you need it. The staff at the school are friendly and helpful. Carnforth High School, 16 Kellet Road, Carnforth, LA5 9LS. 01524 732424 Leave the M6 at junction 35. Take the exit towards Over Kellet. Turn right onto B6254 towards Carnforth. The school is approx. 500 mts. on the right. Just beyond the school on your right is a service road. Turn down here and turn into the school grounds half way down this road. Travel across the car parks and along the single track road in the corner to bring you round into the top car park. This is the new technology block that we use. Park at the far end to have access closest to the rooms we use.
